Together during the Season of Creation, Christians around the world unite in prayer and action to protect God’s creation.
Many Anglicans take this opportunity to reflect on their relationship with creation, and to consider how God may be calling them further into our Anglican Communion’s fifth mark of mission: “To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation, and sustain and renew the life of the earth”.
The season starts on 1 September, the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, and ends on 4 October, the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi.

Kate and John-Luke are a couple living in urban Wellington, who are concerned about their family's carbon footprint. After experiencing a climate change-induced natural disaster, they decided it was time to take action. This story examines how one family can make a difference.
A group of Wellington Christians believe that free public transport for people on a low income will help to reduce carbon emissions, and prevent these lower income groups from getting left behind in the transition to a net zero carbon economy. We join them as they prepare for, and present their proposal to the Regional Council.
