Trust Applications
The Wallis Trust offers high value grants to strategically aligned organisations, over a three-year period. Applications for funding are by invitation only.
Retreat/Camps support.
Retreatants for whom the fee to attend a retreat is a barrier for attendance, the Trust offers small grants, of 50% of the retreat cost ($200 maximum), for people who face financial barriers, in meeting the full cost of attending a retreat.
This support is offered for one retreat, every two years, per individual.
Applications for funding are to be made by the retreat/camp leader.
This fund is to provide scholarships to assist the children of Anglican Clergy to attend an Anglican independent (or integrated) secondary school within the Wellington Diocese.
Scholarship for student(s) from Wellington Diocese or Te Upoko o Te Ika studying in NZ Theological College belonging to the Anglican Church, preferable New Testament Studies.
Assistance for Clergy dependents where no assistance is available elsewhere; Clergy training expenses
To be used for the augmentation of stipends in poorer outlying districts of the Wellington Diocese/Te Upoko o Te Ika.
Financial assistance towards training of clergy and laity for pastoral work in the Wellington Diocese/ Te Upoko o Te Ika; grants towards staffing of parishes where finances are inadequate
To employ locum tenens priest in parishes during illness or convalescence of vicar or curate, including pregnancy.
Fees for the secondary or tertiary education of daughters of deacons, priests, bishops serving in Wellington Diocese/ Te Upoko o Te Ika
Funds for interest-free loans to assist newly ordained stipendiary clergy in the purchase of motor vehicles.
