[We gather]
E te Tokotoru Tapu o te pūaroha
Whakatata mai ki ēnei pononga Āu;
Holy triune God of compassion,
draw near to us, Your servants;
whakamāramatia tō mātou pōuri
mō rātou kua wehe,
mō mātou hoki i tēnei ao mārama;
Be our light in darkness,
for those who have departed this world,
and for us who reside still
in this world of light.
Ka tāhuri mātou ki a Koe
i runga i te aroha;
Tau mai te rongo kia mau,
Kia whēuka, kia ita
kia whakanuia Tō ingoa tapu.
Hui ē, tāiki ē.
And so we turn to You in love;
Let Your peace be upon us
holding us together,
that we may praise Your holy name as one.
[We pray for the Church]
E te Tokotoru Tapu, Holy Trinity;
Bless our Church,
As you show us
What it is to be in perfect relationship;
Grant that the body of Your church
Not confuse hierarchy with connection,
nor power with love;
bless your Church throughout the world
as we strive to live in light
and not be swallowed up in fear and pride;
Help us.
[Bidding and response]
Our beautiful God, one God in Three persons
Be with us now.
[We pray for the world]
E te Tokotoru Tapu, Holy Trinity;
When we consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what are people that You are mindful of us?
that you care for us?
You reign, e te Atua, let the earth be glad;
let the distant shores rejoice.
Jesus, our friend and brother;
The only One through whom we can approach the Father
Holy Spirit,
poured out into our hearts,
given to us, in love.
Bless our world in its brokenness,
e te Tokotoru Tapu.
Our home, our place.
Bring us,
your creation,
to Your loving purpose.
[Bidding and response]
Our beautiful God, one God in Three persons
Be with us now.
[We pray for our communities and for our own needs.]
E te Tokotoru Tapu, Holy Trinity
Bless our homes, our schools, our streets,
our workplaces,
our places of community, and of gathering.
May your divine relationship
enable us to love those who are easy to love,
and those who are hard to love,
even ourselves.
Work through us,
between us
And within us.
[Bidding and response]
Our beautiful God, one God in Three persons
Be with us now.
