A Season of Prayer on Every Street
Over the fifty days from Easter to Pentecost, something extraordinary has happened.
From Whanganui to Wellington, Castlecliff to Khandallah, and Upper Hutt to Island Bay, you walked. You prayed. And together, we covered our streets in the love and presence of Christ.
This season began with a simple invitation: walk and pray. What followed was a sacred movement. The screenshots from the Holy Here app have shown us just how wide and deep that movement went. Each glowing trail—from the Wellington CBD to Waiwhetu, from Tawa to Paraparaumu—tells a story of faithful footsteps and intentional intercession. Playgrounds, school gates, bus stops, family homes, and busy corners were blessed. Our cities and towns have been walked with hope.
Your stories—of praying for healing, for safety, for restoration—have reminded us of the sacred power of showing up. You’ve walked loops around your blocks, marched with your mission units, prayed down your main streets. You’ve done it in the name of Jesus, and the Spirit has surely been moving.
As we close this season with Pentecost—our celebration of the Spirit’s arrival and the Church’s bold beginning—we want to say: thank you. You’ve carried Christ into every cul-de-sac and coastal path, into town centres and tucked-away side streets.
And we’re not done yet.
If you’ve seen signs of new life—answered prayers, a neighbourly conversation, a renewed sense of community—we’d love to hear from you. Send us your stories. Let’s celebrate what God has done in this season and carry it forward into whatever comes next.
Because this wasn’t just a campaign. It was a glimpse of the Church alive—walking, praying, and loving our neighbourhoods well.
Come, Holy Spirit. Renew every place we call home.
