The Modawa Institute in Popondetta is looking to recruit a new Dean of Institute. The need is for someone who is experienced in leading within the higher education (tertiary) sector. The Governing Council of Modawa is very grateful for Fr Gabriel Manae for acting in the role over the past six months, but Fr Gabriel acknowledges that the institute needs someone with more experience in the higher education sector. 

The Modawa Institute incorporates three schools of learning; Bishop Newton School of Theology; St Margaret’s School of Nursing and Community Health; The David Hand School of Teaching. The institute is firmly planted in the life of ACPNG and the three schools together are all vital expressions of the mission of ACPNG to Preach, Teach and Heal. The Modawa Institute has been recently formed from three separate colleges to provide an overarching institute of learning. Accredited with the PNG Government as an Institute of Higher Learning, and having attracted financial support from Government and NGO funders, Modawa is well on its way to providing sustainable education to resource ACPNG for the future.
