Community Worker - Paihiatua

The Anglican Parish of Pahiatua and Eketahuna has an exciting new position available on a 12-month fixed term basis for an enthusiastic Community worker.

The position is for 20 hours a week mainly based in Pahiatua, a rural community where there is lots of opportunity to expand the ministry of the Parish.

We are looking for someone to take responsibility for supporting the vision of our church: to grow our presence in the community. The ideal candidate is a keen self-starter, who has a proven ability to take initiative and possesses both a passionate heart and a skillful hand to develop partnerships across a wide range of age groups and people and organisations in the community.

You will be a creative and enthusiastic communicator who has confident IT skills. Ideally, you will have a proven track record of working in areas of ministry in church/community settings.

The successful candidate will also have experience in one or more of the following fields

· Youth work

· Social work

· Community development

· Volunteer management

· Pastoral ministry
