Anō te pai
Anō te āhuareka
Tō te Ariki tika me pono
He tōmairangi i ngā maunga
He puna waiora
He whenua haumako
How good
How beautiful
Is the Lord’s justice and truth -
It is dew on the mountains
A spring of living water,
A flourishing land.
Tihei Mauri ora!

Through the risen Christ, creation is renewed and released
Help us to love and tend Your creation.

E te Atua,
You lifted up Ezekiel.
You made of him “a watchman for the house of Israel”
Grant us that clarity of sight.
Make of us too watchers and warners for Your Church,
Kaitiaki and carers
of your created world;
a world to be renewed,
to be loved;
a world that Christ redeems.
Refresh Your Church, here, and throughout the world,
To be a source of bravery and love;
fit for Your mysterious purposes.
Through the risen Christ, creation is renewed and released
Help us to love and tend Your creation

E Ihu, Jesus,
You have called us out,
To take up Your cross;
To turn our face to You,
And not lose heart before our task is done.
We follow Your path,
Through this wounded world.
We pray for the polluted places, the choked skies,
the lives at threat from fires,
from flood,
from collapse.
Help us to break down
the walls that keep us apart,
and those things that distract us
from your commandment:
“You shall love your neighbour as yourself.”
Love does no wrong to a neighbour; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.”

Help us to love and tend Your creation

Holy Spirit, e te Wairua Tapu
Be present in our homes, our families, our communities.
May our leaders know humility and Your good purposes;
Just as the leaves of the harakeke are treated,
May our children, te rito, know love, and kindness;
May our youth know safety, challenge and acceptance;
May our adults, our mātua, know true fellowship;
May our elders, our tūpuna know respect and care;
Help us, in all those places we hold dear,
To taste and see
That God is good.
Be with us now as we pray for our own needs;
Our fears;
Our hopes;
Our thanks;
And the things we cannot yet name.
