Pray the Streets with the Holy Here App
What would happen if every home, every street, and every neighbourhood in our cities and towns were covered in prayer?
This Easter to Pentecost, we invite parishes and mission units to join in a season of intentional intercession to invite God’s transformation of our communities. Through prayer-walking and the Holy Ground app, we seek kingdom renewal—where pain turns to joy and brokenness is met with God’s restoration.
Bishop Anashuya Fletcher encourages us, saying, “Our dream is to see our communities transformed by God’s love. As we pray over every street, we declare hope, healing, and renewal for all who live and work there.”
Inspired by the vision of Thy Kingdom Come, the global prayer movement, this initiative seeks to spiritually re-map our cities—transforming streets, homes, businesses, and public spaces into places of divine encounter. From Easter Sunday to Pentecost, we are dedicating this time to walk our streets in prayer.
Stepping out together, we ask for God’s goodness to fill our neighbourhoods, for healing to touch the hurting, and for Jesus’ love to be made manifest in the places we live, work, and worship.
Bishop Ana says, “There is something profoundly sacred about walking our streets in prayer. As we move through our neighbourhoods, we are reminded that God is already present, inviting us to partner with the Spirit in bringing renewal.
“Like Nehemiah, we are moved by compassion to bring our parish geographies before God. In prayer, we lament, we confess, we petition and we bless. In all this we express our hope for what God desires to do, and confidence in what God can do."
The HolyGround App
The Holy Ground app serves as a tool to track and unite our prayers, helping us see how our collective intercessions are covering our communities. The Holy Ground app is designed to help individuals and churches pray for every part of their city.
Let us listen attentively to the Spirit’s guidance:
“Prayer-walking is not just about speaking words over our cities; it is also about listening. The Spirit whispers to us as we walk, revealing where healing is needed, where hope is growing, and where love must be poured out,” Bishop Ana says.
Together, let us walk, pray, and believe for God’s transformative presence to fill our streets. Organise now for this special season of prayer.
