2021 In Review
2021 has been a year of mixed feelings for many of us. In some ways it has been more trying than 2020, but as we have gotten used to living in a pandemic world, we also have much to celebrate.
This year we have gathered together, New Wine Festival sets us up for the year, Waitangi Day 2021: Deep Korero at Rangiatea, A tale of two Training Days, The family kaupapa: ministry leaders gather for refreshing, renewing, Training Day.
We’ve gotten one and given one. Get one. Give one, Vaccination Superheroes, Get One, Give One in the Jungle, Justin’s Jab.
We told our government how we’d like to see our country respond to Climate Change, and made an impact! Climate change mission planned for March, Climate Mission for Submissions - an epic effort, Climate Mission: Our advocacy makes a difference, Climate Mission - Emissions Reduction Plan.
And made our own changes to lower our carbon footprints. Climate Change – one person can make a difference, Low Carbon Challenge Launches, Reducing the family footprint: Kate and John-Luke’s story, Make do and Mend – Reducing Waste.
We’ve re-thought how we “do” church. Rethinking Sundays: How St David’s took up the invitation presented by lockdown house-church, Café Church Celebrates their 1st Birthday.
As we wrap up this year, take a moment to reflect and be thankful for all the good things God has done. May you have a restful Christmas and New Year, from the team at the Anglican Centre.
