Geraldine is a warm welcoming community in rural South Canterbury. It is a weekend tourist hot spot - a stopping-off place between Christchurch and Aoraki/Mount Cook with great cafes, motels and camping grounds.
The Parish of Geraldine has extensive involvement with the Geraldine community through our support of the local Farmer’s Market and the Academy of Performance and Arts and our involvement with the Geraldine Festival. It is a great place to live and work!
We are looking for a new Vicar (0.7 FTE) who has a heart for rural ministry and an understanding of the challenges; who can lead the parish and encourage people in a range of ministries.
Applicants must be Anglican priests currently in good standing with their present bishop, who already have the right to work in New Zealand and are willing to undertake Police vetting.
A parish profile and an expression of interest form are available by emailing the Executive Assistant at the Diocese of Christchurch: bishopsea@anglicanlife.org.nz or by phoning 03 348 6701. Expressions of Interest close Monday 13 November 2023.
