The Parish of Fendalton is looking for a new Senior Associate Priest to join our parish.
We give thanks for work done by previous clergy who have created many opportunities for worship and engagement for both our parishioners and those living in the local community.
We hope that our new Senior Associate Priest will assist in building on our present strengths while also looking for new ways of growing and developing the parish. We are one of the larger parishes in the Diocese of Christchurch, and have a diverse variety of services, and many outreach activities.

The new Senior Associate Priest will be an experienced priest with strong robust faith, have energy, enthusiasm and be a person of vision. Some of the qualities that we are looking for in a new Senior Associate Priest include:
Liturgically experienced in Anglican Liturgies, formal and informal and be comfortable with traditional and innovative ways of worship, and be willing to participate in both traditional and modern music as an essential part of Sunday worship
A strong, mature and respectful priest with outstanding people skills, have an outgoing personality and be a good listener
Previous experience as part of large clergy/staff team
A person who is able to commit to this parish for a number of years
Understanding of and able to assist in the development of the richness and diversity of the parish and the range of services offered and assist in building a parish that is inclusive of all gender, race, and diverse theological thinking
Challenging preaching, and ability to provide opportunities for learning, discussion and spiritual growth
Be committed to all ages and stages of parishioners with a strong emphasis on encouragement of children, young people and their parents
He/she will be committed to the Anglican Church and knowledgeable about the bi-cultural partnership and three Tikanga structure of the province of Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia. He/she will be able to assist in leading a strong clergy and staff team, together with a large number of volunteers.
