Vacancy - All Saints Palmerston North

  • Anglican Movement 18 Eccleston Hill Wellington, Wellington, 6011 New Zealand (map)

VICAR, All Saints Anglican Parish

Palmerston North

All Saints Anglican Parish, based in the centre of Palmerston North city, is seeking a Vicar to manage and lead its Anglican parish in the Manawatu.

The position is full-time with a stipend, plus it has the added benefits of a parish house being available, along with allowances including book and petrol expenses.

The parish consists of seven congregations in three different churches spread across the city, with an electoral roll of 367 and pastoral roll of 535 (as at Dec 2024).

It is supported by a leadership team of 12, which includes 6 ordained priests, with some of the team being stipendiary, and a strong vestry headed by two wardens.

The congregations at each of the churches have dedicated parishioners with, in some cases, large numbers of families and a growing youth presence, who support the varied activities and functions at each site. With a strong sense of community, opportunities to socialise are always well attended.

Significant scope in this diverse and vibrant environment exists for the new leader to make a real impact by building on the existing strengths within the parish and treating each new challenge that arises as an opportunity for the Parish to continue working towards fulfilling its Mission and Vision statements in an assured and dynamic way.
