Mary Potter Hospice provides free specialist palliative care for the people of the Wellington Region. We have an Inpatient Unit, and a strong Community team. We take a multi-disciplinary approach in order to provide holistic care for our patients and their whānau.
We are looking for a Spiritual Carer to join our dedicated and friendly multidisciplinary teams. You will be supported collegially by our Multi-Disciplinary Teams and we can support you to develop palliative care skills so you can grow within our organisation. If you want flexible working arrangements, to make sure that the role balances your family and social commitments, we would be happy to explore this with you. The salary range for this role is $66,500 to $72,000.
This fulfilling and important role is:
To provide skilled and compassionate spiritual care to patients, whānau and staff
Be part of the multi-disciplinary team, offering spiritual guidance, and perspectives supporting a continued strong culture of spiritual care
To visit patients referred in the inpatient unit and the community
Deliver training and developing spiritual care initiatives
Development and maintain a network of other spiritual leaders and community agencies
You will need to:
Hold relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent extensive spiritual care experience
Have a registration with professional body
Hold a Clinical pastoral Education Certificate (desirable, depending on previous experience)
Be required to undertake pre-employment health screening and complete a Ministry of Justice criminal records check
Have NZ residency or a valid work visa
Full current drivers licence
