Priest in Charge, Parish of Northland-Wilton, Wellington

St Anne’s Northland-Wilton (St Anne’s) strives to be the Parish at the heart of the community.

We are seeking a new Priest-In-Charge between a 0.8 and 1.0 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) to continue growing our flourishing mission.

St Anne’s:

· has strong links with the Northland-Wilton community, hosting Quiz Nights, Fairs, Christmas Carols, dinners, lunches etc.

· Has a healthy Messy Church congregation which is an important element to welcoming young people and families into our congregation;

· Has an active lay leadership that contributes to services that incorporate both tradition, and modern elements;

· Has a devoted congregation that is eager to learn in small groups;

· Wants to grow the diversity of its congregation and ensure the Church is on a sustainable footing.

The position includes a four-bedroom vicarage in the heart of the village, which is only a 5-minute drive (or cycle) from the Wellington CBD.

We believe the Parish is in solid health and financial footing. We think our community will suit someone who can relate inter-generationally and wants to work with us to achieve our mission in new ways. Enjoying scripture-based teaching, while being open to different worship styles would be useful. Inclusivity is important to us, and we are keen to further grow ministry to young people through outreach and pastoral care. The nominators are open to discussing this opportunity with anyone who has a sense of calling and believes they can embed themselves within our community and make disciples.

To find out more, please ask for our Parish Profile from the Bishop’s assistant Paul Carey (paul@anglicanmovement.nz) to whom applications including a CV should be sent by 30 November.
