E te Atua tino tapu
E rapu ana mātou
i Tō mata;
E huri ana ngā whakaaro
Ki a rātou kua wehe atu ki te pō.
Meinga kia noho rātou kei roto i Tō aroha
Kia tūwhera o mātou ngākau, o tēnei hunga ora, ki a Koe
Haumi ē
Hui ē,
Taiki ē.
Holy God
We seek Your face.
We also turn our thoughts.
To those who have departed to the night.
May they rest in your love.
May we who remain here
open our hearts to you.
Together.

E te Atua, our creator
Let our feet stand on level ground;
so that in Your great congregation we can praise You.
E te Ariki, Jesus, friend and brother
The One through whom the universe is made.
You charge us to act and live in justice and mercy;
May Your justice and mercy
be the wellspring of all we do, as Your Body.
E te Wairua Tapu, spirit of God,
Be with us in worship,
And in prayer,
In our ministries,
And in our fellowship -
With our old ones,
With our young ones,
With our families of every form.
May You shine through us -
In loving invitation to all.

E te Atua, hear our prayer and let our cry come to you.
We pray for the world and for this place.
O God, as we recall the last year of slaughter and suffering,
And the spiral of war in the Middle East;
We cry out to you for your impossible grace -
In those wounded places.
We ask for your blessing upon
those unknown people of peace
there, all around the world,
and in our own land;
working every day,
against despair.
Even within the darkest night
You kindle the fire that never dies away.
E te Atua, hear our prayer and let our cry come to you.
We pray for our communities and for our own needs.
God help us
for we have not led blameless lives;
and sometimes we have faltered.
Help us to live each day in the redemption Your Son bought for us.
Help us to live honestly and kindly in our communities.
Help us to serve others;
to laugh and to cry -
All for Your sake.
You know us absolutely;
grant us what we need this week;
and if we receive good or trouble,
may our perfect or broken alleluias be drawn from our lips.
