Bidding: Lord, hear us.
Response: Lord, hear our prayer

As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain.  For he says,

“In the time of my favor I heard you,

    and in the day of salvation I helped you.”

I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation

[2 Cor.6:1-2]

Heavenly Father, thank you for our communities.
We pray that you would show us the needs within our neighbourhoods;
give us the patience to navigate them with understanding
and truthful speech.
You are a refuge for the oppressed,
 A stronghold in times of trouble

[from Psalm 9:9 ]

Loving Son, uphold your church
As we work alongside you.
Silence the storms,
rebuke the wind,
increase our faith.
