News from David and Pixie Rowe

It is with mixed feelings that we are returning to the UK.

David and Pixie welcoming Peter Harris founder of Arocha.

David writes, It’s been a terrific five years serving in the Wellington Diocese.

I am so thankful to have been entrusted with the roles and responsibilities that I have had here in the Diocese. But it is time to return home.

We are looking forward to being nearer the UK members of our family again, although we are also sad to say goodbye to our family who remain in NZ.

We are deeply, deeply thankful for the great community at All Saints Palmerston North. What a delightful caring and supportive fellowship to have shared this journey with; and I shall miss so many friends and colleagues around the Diocese as I have served as Dean of the Cathedral and Archdeacon of Church Health and Growth.

As many of you will be aware, my cancer returned last year, and despite radiotherapy, and three letters from our oncologist, expressing confidence that the radiotherapy last November will have worked, and a clear PSA blood count. Immigration New Zealand were only prepared to issue a three-month visa for us, fearing that I might cost the state significant money for treatment.

However, we are in bigger and more secure hands than INZ, and we trust that God will weave all things together for good.

Now for a new chapter in our life as we push to see what doors may open for ministry in the next season.
