Last chance to have your say on electricity campaign

Kate Day of Common Grace Aotearoa speaks at the electricity campaign launch

There’s still time to have your say on banning the significant disconnection and reconnection fees that accompany having an electricity account cut off, affecting the most vulnerable.

The campaign led by Common Grace Aotearoa is asking the Electricity Authority to:

  1. Ban disconnection/reconnection fees that harm the most vulnerable

  2. Protect prepay customers by reining in unfair prices and tracking disconnections

  3. Protect everyone by making the Consumer Care Guidelines mandatory.

Sign the petition or make a submission by visiting the campaign website by 5pm on 2 October.
