Elsie Joostens joined the team at the Anglican Centre last month as the Governance and Project Coordinator so we thought we’d find out a little bit more about her and her new role.

Tell us a bit about yourself
I am originally from the UK (London). I live by the sea with my fishing enthusiast husband, three daughters, a cat and a very bouncy dog! My hobbies are running, knitting and theology (for the layperson!). I am really excited about my new role here as I’m also part of a parish in the Wellington region and I love the culture of our Diocese. 

Tell us a bit about your role
My role is essentially to help Ben with the smooth running of the Governance body meetings and of several key projects running in the Diocese.

What are you currently working on?
I am currently preparing paperwork for the first meetings of the year and learning as much as I can about some exciting new projects that Ben is overseeing in 2022
