Ignatian Retreat at Tyburn Monastery, Ngakuru

Sunday, 2 November – Saturday, 8 November 2025

Take five full days to pause, reflect, and pray with Scripture in the beautiful, peaceful setting of Tyburn Monastery. This retreat offers a precious opportunity to step away from the busyness of life. Other than an initial group session on Sunday evening and an optional group session on Friday evening, the retreat will be in silence, beginning with the Sunday evening meal.

Throughout the week, you’ll receive daily individual spiritual direction. There will also be a daily Anglican Eucharist. Our retreat directors, Rev. Kathy Orr-Nimmo, formed in Ignatian spiritual direction at Loyola House in Canada, and Rev. Jenny Dawson, formed through the SEED programme and Te Wairua Mahi, will be guiding us through this time of deep reflection.

Tyburn Monastery provides comfortable individual rooms, all with ensuites, and there is a disability access room available. You can find more details about the facilities here.

Cost: $460
To book your place or find out more, please contact Kathy at orrnimmo@hotmail.com or call 022 252 9929.
Bookings close on 2 October, but as spaces are limited, early booking is recommended.

Come, be still, and let your soul rest in the presence of God.
