Forms for new starters

The following forms are needed for all new employees before they can be added to your payroll system:

Payroll Information (.dotx)
Tax Code Declaration (IRD website)
KiwiSaver Deduction Form - KS2 or KiwiSaver Opt-out Request - KS10 (IRD website)
KiwiSaver Temporary Rate Reduction Request (IRD Website)
Police Vetting Form (Police website)

Xero Payroll

We recommend using Xero Payroll for lay employees because we have the in-house expertise to support you with any issues you may experience.

Setting up Xero Payroll
Our payroll team can manage the complete setup process, including system configuration, employee profiles, leave entitlements and ensure compliance with Employment Relations and Holidays Act legislation. Please get in touch if you would like to set up Xero Payroll (including migrating from another system). Our payroll team will also provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to ensure you can confidently manage day-to-day payroll operations.

I’m adding a new employee, what is ESCT and what rate do I choose?
ESCT is Employer Superannuation Contribution Tax and is deducted from all employer contributions to KiwiSaver. To work out the correct rate, you can use IRD's helpful calculator.
