Living Wage

We are an accredited Living Wage employer. The Living Wage rate is voluntary and is paid by employers who want to make sure their workers get enough money to live with dignity. Find out more about the Living Wage at livingwage.org.nz.

The Living Wage for 2026/27 is $29.90 and is effective 1 September 2026.

Setting up Xero Payroll
Our payroll team can manage the complete setup process, including system configuration, employee profiles, leave entitlements and ensure compliance with Employment Relations and Holidays Act legislation. I’m adding a new employee, what is ESCT and what rate do I choose?
ESCT is Employer Superannuation Contribution Tax and is deducted from all employer contributions to KiwiSaver. To work out the correct rate, you can use IRD's helpful calculator.
