Vacancy - Tenancy Manager

Tenancy Manager Vacancy

We’re seeking someone who is motivated and proactive who can actively manage our community housing dwellings in a responsible and respectful manner.

Vision

Our vision is to be a transformative movement of local faith communities bringing the good news of Jesus Christ to all. At the Anglican Centre our purpose is to serve the Wellington Diocese. We seek to express and live by our Diocesan mission and values (see Job Description).

About us:

The Anglican Diocese of Wellington has developed a Housing Programme to transform under-utilised land and buildings into quality community housing stock. By the end of 2026 we will have five completed projects comprising 21 dwellings.

Purpose of role:

The role is informed by our tenancy management principles: to be supportive, transparent and consistent. Allowing respectful relationships to grow is key, and we look for opportunities to grow a sense of community amongst our tenants. We want our tenants to flourish while they live in our dwellings. The role is a balance of both the detail and the bigger picture. Relationships are key to how you work and achieve great outcomes. We are seeking a motivated, proactive person who can actively manage the tenanted houses in a responsible and respectful manner.

We are based in central Wellington at the Anglican Centre. You are expected to have some hours in the office on the core working day of Tuesday, but there will be flexibility to work from home, and the job will see hours completed at the housing developments. We will also support you to establish key relationships with the tenants and the leadership of the local parishes participating in the Programme.

Key relationships

Diocesan Manager, Diocesan Property Advisor, tenants in Diocesan housing programme dwellings, key leaders of participating Mission Units.
