Something Good’s Brewing

We’re excited to launch the Common Good Coffee Truck in Wellington City this week.

Located on a high foot traffic site outside St Peter’s on Willis, this epic Truck will serve up delicious Common Good Coffee Monday to Friday, helping caffeinate and connect people in Central Wellington.

While Common Good Coffee has the amazing support of lots of businesses and organisations in the CBD there hasn’t been a visible presence until now.

The Common Good Coffee Truck is basically a billboard on wheels to share the compelling and prophetic story of Common Good Coffee and its impact through Joyya - sparking good in places of extreme poverty and modern slavery.

This amazing opportunity became possible because of three separate Parish’s desire to see kingdom stories flourish. Through the amazing generosity of some All Saints Hataitai parishioners, the passion of our champion Noah Schneider with the encouragement of St Thom’s Newtown and the imagination and manaakitanga of St Peter’s on Willis we have been able to get this enterprise off the ground.

Alongside this, the Bishop’s Community Development Trust has been ploughing away in the background helping to create a sustainable social enterprise around this new venture. It’s a phenomenal example of our people coming together around a common vision.

We (Ana and Paul) are thrilled to see Common Good Coffee expand in this way and to be part of a growing team!

How can you help?

  • Grab a coffee and tell all your mates! You can follow the Truck on Facebook and Instagram @commongoodcoffeetruck

  • Donate a good quality fridge/freezer (that will store fresh produce inside St Peter’s on Willis).

  • Make a tax-deductible donation that will go towards our start-up costs.
