[We gather - An approach]

E Ihowa,

E tuwhera ana ō mātou ngākau ki a koe;
Kia murua e Koe ngā roimata e ruia nei,
mō rātou kua ngaro.
Rātou, te hunga mate ki a rātou;
E noho ana i roto i a Koe;
Mātou te hunga ora ki a mātou
Titiro atawhai mai,
Tau mai Tō rongo
E tau e tau
Tau atu nei.

Holy God,
Our hearts are open to You.
Wipe away the tears that fall,
for those who have passed;
May those who have passed rest in you,
We who live still,
Look kindly upon us.
May Your peace
be upon us

Bidding and Response:
You see us, you know us
E te Ariki, hear our prayer.

[We pray for the Church]

For the Church.

E Ihowa
You are our God;
There is none before you.
As your Church,
As the body of your Son,
all around the world, and in this land,
We are to do as You do:
uphold the cause of the oppressed;
give food to the hungry;
sets prisoners free;
lift up those who are bowed down,
watch over the stranger
sustains the fatherless and the widow

Help us every day
To love as You love.
At a time of uncertainty,
Of division in parts of Your body,
Help us to know
What we are to do,
In love for you and for each other.
“give me understanding that I may live”.

You see us, you know us
E te Ariki, hear our prayer.

[We pray for the world]

We pray for Your world,
For its life, death and renewal;
Grant us new ways to love
what You created;
Where we have harmed
what you have made,
helps us to repent
and seek to make right,
even four times the wrong we did,
like Zaccheus.

Light again in us love for Your creation,
And the bravery to cry out
for Your justice
in the places of conflict and disaster
in Sudan, in Gaza, in Jamaica and beyond.

You see us, you know us
E te Ariki, hear our prayer.

[We pray for our communities and for our own needs.]

E te Tokotoru Tapu, Holy Trinity
Bless our homes, our schools, our streets,
our workplaces,
our places of community, and of gathering.
May You enable and inspire us
to love those who are easy to love,
and those who are hard to love.
May your spirit work
Through us
And with us
all just the same.

E Ihu, Jesus,
You see us
Like you saw Zaccheus
“Come down!” You said.
And he welcomed you to his home,
And turned from sin
For love of You.

So too, you see us in all our frailty.
You love us anyway
and want to be with us.
Help us to open our hearts to you
And offer you all that we are

You see us, you know us
E te Ariki, hear our prayer.
