Pentecost Celebrations: Karori Anglican Marks Milestone Moments

Pentecost Sunday was a wonderful and warm celebration at Karori Anglican, marking a significant milestone in the faith journeys of many in our church family.

Over the past three years, these young people have been challenged and nurtured in their understanding of what they believe, their relationship with God, and how God is calling them forward.

We are encouraged and excited to see them discerning God’s voice and putting their faith into action in a way that is deeply their own. On Pentecost Sunday, Bishop Anashuya presided over a special service in which eight people were confirmed, and two young adults were baptized.

Each person chose a mentor from within the congregation, someone who will walk alongside them, support them, and help them navigate questions of faith and life in the years to come. It’s a privilege for these mentors to journey with them and watch their faith grow and flourish.

The beautiful service was filled with hope, renewal, and a deep sense of God’s peace, as we witnessed a new generation choosing live out their faith in their own right.
