Supporting our Leaders and their Whānau

Ministry Leaders and their families enjoyed a wonderful time of inspiration, fellowship and fun at Ministry Leaders’ Family Camp in at El Rancho over the weekend.

This year’s theme was the great commission from Matthew 28 and attendees were treated to story after story of missional discipleship happening all throughout the diocese.

Whether it was in the keynote addresses from Bishop Justin, Rev Ana Fletcher and Rev Alison Robinson or our (extra)Ordinary ministry leader stories, it was inspiring stuff!

On Saturday night Bishop Justin reminded those gathered to not equate difficult times to fruitlessness. He reminded us that God is alive and working among us.

The harvest is ready, he said. Are we ready to go?

Prayer was another feature of the weekend. Workshops were led by Chris Wanstall and Cath Livesey from Accessible Prophesy as well as a focused prayer stations time on Sunday morning.

Over 500 people attended the weekend and over 170 of those were under 18 years old. Our thanks to the amazing people who held our precious tamariki and rangatahi with creative and meaningful programmes.  Thanks, also, to the many others - a huge number of people - who volunteered and helped make MLFC 2024 such a great time.

With amazing weather and engaging fellowship with leaders from across the diocese, we came away refreshed to go again and encouraged that God is with us.

Videos from the weekend will be posted soon on the MLFC page on our website.
