Moments Between the Moments: AYM Easter Retreat 2025
The AYM Easter Retreat 2025 was a standout weekend of faith, fun, and community that left youth buzzing.
High School youth came from across the Diocese to El Rancho in Waikanae where they heard from speakers such as Bishop Anashuya Fletcher, Ants Watts from Joya and others.
Camille Frances from Tawa Anglicans served as the retreat’s photographer and spoke highly of the retreat.
“It was such a brilliant weekend away,” she said. “Photography is a huge passion of mine, so being able to serve God by capturing these moments was a real privilege.”
While many highlights came from the scheduled activities, Camille said the most powerful moments happened between them.
“In the village, I saw people radically including each other—playing games outside their comfort zones, sharing food, and having deep conversations with people they’d only just met.
“It was incredible to see God moving in those small, in-between spaces.”
For Camille, capturing these glimpses of grace made the experience even more meaningful.
“I felt so honoured to witness and photograph just small pieces of what was a truly beautiful camp.”
Easter Retreat 2025 will be remembered not only for its events, but for the way God moved in every shared smile, game, and conversation.
