Missional Housing Opportunity in Miramar
Peninsula Parish in Miramar is looking for a young person aged 18-26 years to join two young men in "Discipleship House" an initiative of Saint Aidan's Church.
This is a mission-focused house with prayer and flat-night rhythms and expectations that house members will be mentored, attend Saint Aidan's regularly and be actively involved in the local youth, intermediate and/or Sunday School ministries and monthly family social nights. The successful housemate will be a committed Christian who cares about youth and discipleship willing to bring their skills to build God's kingdom on the Miramar Peninsula. House members are supported to:
Grow in their identity as a child of God
Gain a deeper understanding of the foundations of the Christian faith
Cultivate relationships with those in the generation younger to intentionally pass on (echo down) the faith
Identify and minister using their gifts in the local church, knowing they are a vital part of the body.
The new housemate will experience support from the local Saint Aidan's church community and will find a sense of purpose, belonging and outreach in the ministry and kaupapa of the house. If you know someone ready to step into or grow their ministry among young people and/or ready to move into a supported Christian flat environment, please share this vacancy with them.
The house is a new build and the room is available now. Interested people will be interviewed/screened by Saint Aidan's church and will be required to undergo a police background check.
