Anglican Studies prepares for next year

We’re looking forward to another year of discipleship and formation in our 2021 Anglican Studies programme, and we are excited to offer two streams of study together. We will offer two semesters of in-person classes in 2021. Our classes are held in a weekend, block format twice per semester, and occur in a bicultural setting. Our in person classes will be a combination of lectures and workshopping over our weekends as well as discipleship tutorials in which we process and apply the course material.

The first semester course is entitled “Doing Theology,” and is worth 15 credits towards a Diploma of Christian Studies, but all of our courses can also be studied for personal interest, without having to complete the academic requirements of the course.  This course will have block weekends on the 12th – 14th of February and the 7th – 9th of May.  Our Semester 2 course will be entitled “The Bible Story: New Testament.”

Alongside our semester-long courses, we will offer short courses via Zoom in the same we have done throughout lockdown and beyond.  These courses can be taken for credit (5 credits each), or just for personal interest and growth.  The courses will last between five and seven weeks, and cover:

  • Holiness and Social Action (beginning 1 March 2021)

  • Radical Discipleship (beginning 7 June 2021)

  • The Church for Others (beginning 18 October 2021)
