See Rachel Turner in Wellington

Strandz and the New Zealand Children’s Ministry Network are welcoming and hosting parenting author and speaker, Rachel Turner, on her first visit to New Zealand. 

As part of her tour to Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand in September, and we are excited to be welcoming her in Wellington at St John’s Johnsonville, to share her heart for family discipleship and supporting parents. Rachel is a well known international speaker, founder of Parenting for Faith, and author of nine parenting and family discipleship books. Her talks and sessions are packed with wisdom, inspiration and humour. 

Sunday 17 September, 7:30pm-9pm
An evening for parents and whānau, unpacking 5 key tools to helping your children meet and know God, for anyone wanting to discover how we can show children a reality of living a life with God. Tickets are $15, and doors open at 7pm with tea and coffee.

Monday 18 September, 10am-3pm
This one day conference will be great for ministry leaders, church leaders, and anyone passionate about family discipleship. 
Rachel will be digging into topics including:

  • 'It takes a church to raise a parent' and why the home is the best place for family discipleship

  • How to envision and empower parents to disciple their kids

  • Creating a church culture of discipleship everyday

  • Leading out of Covid, what leaders need to know about supporting families leading out of the pandemic.

There will also be a time of Q&A and networking. Morning tea will be provided, but to help keep costs super low ($35!) we'd love you to bring your own lunch or you can pop out to local outlets.
