Rev Barbara Coles - RIP

Bishop Justin asks us to join in prayer for the friends and family of Rev Barbara Coles who died recently after a prolonged and courageous encounter with illness. 

Barbara was ordained deacon in 2009 and priested the following year, and served in the Palmerston North parishes of All Saints and St Peter’s.  Barbara was highly regarded as a spiritual director, and among other things will be remembered for the excellent quiet days and retreats she led, especially those featuring her own garden.

Please pray for Barbara’s family: husband Doug, son Robert with Adele and grandson Ephram, and sister Margaret.

A celebration of Barbara’s life and faith will be held at 2pm on Saturday 16 December, at St Peter’s, Ruahine Street, Palmerston North.  Clergy are invited to robe, alb with white stoles.
