Meet the candidates for Wellington Central and Te Tai Tonga
On Monday, 6pm Sept 18th Wellington Cathedral is hosting a candidates meeting for politicians standingin the Wellington Central and Te Tai Tonga Electorates.
The evening will follow the following format – a hosted discussion in which the candidates are encouraged to share:
their motivation for standing for Parliament;
the core commitments and values which shape their approach to politics;
their understanding of the role as an elected representative;
what they believe the critical issues Aotearoa New Zealand faces as it moves into the future;
and finally, how their Party policies respond to the key issues raised during the month of panel discussions: specifically, social polarization; climate change, education.
