Mayoral Citation Presented to Reverend Murray Wills

Mayor Campbell Barry, Reverend Murray Wills, and Deputy Mayor Tui Lewis

The Mayor of Lower Hutt, Campbell Barry, recently awarded the Reverend Murray Wills of the Parish of Lower Hutt a Mayoral Citation in recognition of his longstanding and meaningful contributions to the Lower Hutt community.

Throughout his ministry, Murray has maintained a strong presence within the civic and business spheres, guided by the belief that the Church must remain visible and engaged beyond its walls. 

His commitment has been evident through active participation in civic events, leadership in ANZAC and other memorial and civic services, and dedicated pastoral care for residents in rest home, hospital, and hospice care.

Murray remarked that the honour is a testament to the enduring witness the Parish continues to uphold within the City of Lower Hutt.
