Come Christmas Eve Carol Singing in Wellington Hospital

After an interruption of three years we are again able to host Christmas Eve Carol singing around the wards in Wellington Regional Hospital (Newtown).

This is an old tradition once undertaken by the nurses. It is one that has great meaning to patients who are unable to be home with family and friends. Hearing the carols as well as knowing that a group of people have given up their time to come and sing on Christmas Eve can touch them deeply. It is also a treat to the staff who also go the extra mile for their patients at Christmas.

After 20 years of Chaplaincy I have come to see Christmas as a time when the best comes out of people for those in need in hospital.

If you are able to join us please come to the Hospital Atrium at 6.45pm on Christmas Eve for approximately an hour and half.

Looking forward to your joining us.
Ross Scott on behalf of the Wellington Hospital Chaplaincy Team.
