Young Adults Gather for Worship at St Hilda's Island Bay
On Sunday, young adults from across the Wellington diocese, along with other churches from around the region, gathered at St Hilda’s Church on a beautiful, sunny evening.
The night began with whakawhanaungatanga, followed by sung worship led by Karel van Helden and band.
Rev. Paul Fletcher then shared on Jesus’ pursuit of His disciples, encouraging us to reflect on where we are in our faith journey and to consider whether cynicism or fatigue might be limiting how we see God at work in our lives.
Paul spoke about seasons of struggle and the hope that Jesus continues to seek and care for us, wherever we may be.
The service continued with a time of prayer ministry, where many received prayer for encouragement, strength, and direction for the journey ahead.
The whole service was uplifting and faith-filled, with a real sense of energy and expectancy in the room.
The evening wrapped up with fish and chips, chats and laughter.
More gatherings are planned this year, so stay tuned.
