The Ordainathon makes it to the finish line

Otaki to Ohakune. Cathedral to Carterton. One vocational deacon. Five transitional deacons. Fourteen priests. Five couples. Thirteen services.

The gargantuan effort of Bishop Justin and Bishop Eleanor to get around the Diocese and ordain 21 new deacons and priests over two weekends is now complete. What is now known as the ‘ordainathon’ will likely go down as legend. Thanks so much to all those who prepared, hosted, prayed, drove, cooked, organised, babysat, and supported these new leaders. But most importantly, praise belongs to Jesus whose sacrificial ministry enables each of us to join his royal priesthood.

In a couple of weeks we hope to have a compilation video of our services up for you all to see; in the meantime please enjoy some photographs from across the ordainathon.
