Sharing Scripture with our Children

Miriam Freeman-Plume from Pauatahanui Anglicans, assisted by Rev Jessica Falconer from Otaki, led two Godly Play style workshops over 2 Saturdays in July and August.

“Over the last couple of years, it's been difficult for people to get to and attend Godly Play training (not to mention it's in Auckland and expensive). So we thought we would try and put together a training package based on Godly Play, but also looking at Following Jesus (by the co-author of Godly Play),” said Jessica. “The result was 2 days of learning, growing in faith and being empowered to share scripture with our children.”

Next year, Miriam and Jessica are hoping to take this prototype out to the wider diocese whānau family. It is an opportunity for those wanting to train in Godly Play-style, those new to Godly Play and also those of us who want a refresher.

Please get in touch with Miriam if you are interested in doing the 2 day training next year. Dates will be advertised on our website.
