Are you a person of faith whose love one is or has been in residential dementia care?

What is the research about? Why participate?

This project explores the experiences of people of Christian faith when a loved one resides in residential dementia care. The research will involve interviewing family members or anyone who was an informal caregiver for a person living with dementia before they entered residential care. It seeks to understand how caregivers’ faith has been impacted and supported during this period.

This research is rooted in my own lived experience of being a daughter of a mother who required residential dementia care. Icame to realise how important it is for faith communities to pay close attention to the faith journeys of care partners so that they may offer meaningful support. Your voice can help add to their understanding so that they can be informed about what is helpful.

ABOUT THE INTERVIEWS:

Interviews can be in-person or online. They will be conducted in a safe and supportive space. All identifying details are removed and anonymized.
