Ai was used to write this story
We’ve been using AI to assist with writing for a while now. But today, we’re making it official.
From now on, whenever AI is used in crafting our news-based content, we’ll say so—right at the end of the story. You’ll see a simple note: “AI was used in the creation of this story.”
Do we need to do this? Some say no. AI is everywhere now—woven into the tools we use daily, from spell-checkers to office software to the biggest news sites. “Isn’t everyone using it?” people ask.
But others argue that transparency matters. Readers deserve to know when AI has played a role, whether for trust, clarity, or simply curiosity about the creative process.
Does it really matter how a story is crafted, as long as it reflects our mission and values? Would you want to know?
At the Anglican Centre, we’ve embraced AI’s potential. With limited resources and time, we’ve used AI to tackle low-hanging fruit—writing reports, summarising meetings, and generating content—so staff can focus on mission-driven work.
