A preparation

E te Atua o te pūaroha
Whakatata mai ki āu pononga;
God of compassion
draw near to us, your servants;

whakamāramatia tō mātou pōuri
mō rātou kua wehe,
mō mātou hoki i tēnei ao mārama;
Be our light in darkness,
for those gathered into you,
and for us who reside still
in this world of light.

Ka tāhuri mātou ki a koe
i runga i te aroha;
kia whakanuia tō ingoa tapu.
Hui ē, tāiki ē.
And so we turn to you
in love;
that we may praise your holy name.
Together.

Let us pray for our three tikanga church and for its work today.

E te Atua [O God]
you have searched us and you know us
in all our ways of being in this land and these islands of the Pacific.
You know our ways.
Help us to love you
and so to love each other;
as we are tied to each other
in bonds of love.
Jacob’s pillar,
Christ, our true pouhere;
set fast in our hearts.

Bidding Bound together in your love, o God,
Response Help us act in that love.

E te Ariki [Lord Jesus]
You showed us what it means
to stretch out your hand
across lines of law and habit
to heal, to feed, to help others;
to do good and reject evil.
Help us now to do the same.

Bidding Bound together in your love, o God
Response Help us act in that love

E te Wairua Tapu [Holy Spirit]
With your gentle touch
direct us,
instruct us,
guide us in ways of peace;
to truly be the Body of Christ
in all its beauty.

Bidding Bound together in your love, o God
Response Help us act in that love.
