Bidding:  Lord, hear us.
Response: Lord, hear our prayer

Gracious God, our Ground of Being, we thank you for the week that has been, and the beginning of a new one to come.

My heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
    my body also will rest in hope.

We pray for our communities.
We thank you for the people you have placed in our lives;
reveal our neighbours to us,
 and show us how to love our enemies.
Be with our leaders,
May they govern with charity and truth.

Lord, hear us.
Lord, hear our prayer.

We pray for our church.
Sanctify us with truth;
your Word is truth.
Teach us the testimony of your Son,
and empower us to share it in love.
Make us attentive to the dreams and visions of your people,
and the needs of the land we inhabit.

Lord, hear us.
Lord, hear our prayer.

We pray for the world, the world that you love.
Show us the signs and wonders of your creation.
Break the rod of wicked rulers;
May the land break into song.

Lord, hear us.
Lord, hear our prayer.

Loving Father, prepare us for a new week.
Strengthen us with patient endurance.
Protect us by the power of your Name.

Lord, hear us.
Lord, hear our prayer.

My heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest in hope.
