Election forums to canvas current issues
As we prepare to go to the polls to exercise our democratic responsibilities, this year presents a few differences - we are to vote on not one but two significant referendum questions, in addition to voting for the government and representatives we want to lead us through a time of global challenge. There are a number of election forums coming up, including the one that we are co-hosting. To assist with your decision-making in the lead up to the election, here is a list of the forums we are aware of.
25 August (7pm): Fireside Chat - Euthanasia: co-hosted by Ōtaki Anglican and Presbyterian Ministers, venue TBC
28 August: Candidates Forum - Environmental Policies, Sustainability Trust, Wellington
1 September: Hear the Cry of the Earth, Catholic Archdiocese of Wellington
3 September: A Fairer Aotearoa, Living Wage Movement Wellington (online)
16 September: Enough for All, Anglican Movement and friends - St Peter’s on Willis Anglican Church
22 September: Ngā Kōrero: The Cannabis Referendum - St Peter’s on Willis Anglican Church
