EfM Graduation
Well done to Kirsty Willis on her Education for Ministry graduation!
Kirsty was presented with her graduation certificates by Bishop Justin and Reverend Jean Malcolm.
She remarked how worthwhile the study had been. That having a regular pattern of biblical study and reflection had grown her understanding of the Christian worldview and grown her own self-awareness too.
The Reverend Jean Malcolm who coordinates EFM in the Wellington Diocese explained the purpose and content of the course and what an achievement it is to complete it. “While it’s not something to enter into lightly,” she said, the curriculum and mentoring supports learners all the way along their journey.
The four-year programme covers the range of Christian tradition from the earliest to the present. Year 1. Hebrew Scriptures; Year 2. New Testament; Year 3. Church History and Year 4. Theology, Ethics, and Inter-faith encounter. The Aotearoa New Zealand EfM programme also includes a unit on the History of the Church in Aotearoa New Zealand.
